IT’S TIME TO DUEL, BOLOGNA! THE YU-GI-OH! CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES IS COMING TO ITALY FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2019

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. (KONAMI) is delighted to announce the Yu‑Gi‑Oh! Championship Series (YCS) is coming to Italy for the first time in four years, with YCS Bologna confirmed for 8-10 December at BolognaFiere.  

YCS events are some of the biggest in the competitive Yu‑Gi‑Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) season. They bring the best Duelists together for a weekend of top-level competitive action. There’s glory and special prizes on the line, as well as World Qualifying Points that go towards qualifying for the next Yu‑Gi‑Oh! World Championship.  

Thousands are expected to come to the BolognaFiere exhibition centre for three days of thrilling Dueling, with thousands more watching via livestreams across the globe. Friday 8 December will see Doors Open and the start of Public Events. The Main Event tournament kicks off on Saturday 9 December with Swiss Rounds. Sunday 10 December features the Top Cut, with the best-performing Duelists duking it out in a thrilling knockout tournament. This will culminate in the all-important Final that will determine the YCS Bologna 2023 Champion.  

Among several other prizes including a Nintendo Switch™, the YCS Champion receives a special YCS trophy and the current season’s Ultra Rare YCS Prize Card. They’ll also earn a guaranteed spot at the next European World Championship Qualifier, where they can try to qualify for the next Yu‑Gi‑Oh! World Championship. 

Outside of the main tournaments, there’s plenty for all attendees to enjoy across the weekend. In Public Events, they can take on popular formats such as Tag Duels and 3 vs. 3 Team Duels, and tournaments for the massively popular Yu‑Gi‑Oh! MASTER DUEL. They can compete to win some fantastic prizes including Oversized Cards, Prize Mats and more.
