Q: What is Remote Duel?

Shadow Realms Games, LLC will be the Tournament Organizer for the Remote Duel Extravaganza and has set up a Discord Server which has information on all the available events
All Duelists who wish to register for Public Events during the Remote Duel Extravaganza will do so via the Tournament Organizer’s website (more information below).
Duelists should review and take note of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament Policy document in order to prepare for events.
Prior to registering for events, Duelists should read the Remote Duel Best Practices guide, which also includes a list of cards Duelists cannot use during Remote Duel events.
Q: What happens at a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Remote Duel Extravaganza?
A: Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KDE-US), with the assistance of Shadow Realm Games, LLC, is offering Duelists the opportunity to enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh! from the comfort and safety of their homes via Remote Duels! You can register online, and compete in your favorite Extravaganza events, such as Win-A-Mats, Duel Links and Speed Duel tournaments, and even ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! using our Extravaganza Discord server.
Q: How can I register for events at the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Remote Duel Extravaganza?
A: During the Remote Duel Extravaganza, we will be hosting Remote Duel events on Saturday, Dec 19th and Sunday, Dec 20th, The Remote Duel events will be conducted using a Discord Server to make it easy for attendees to interact with Event Staff, Judges, and of course, their opponents.
Duelists are required to have a shipping address in the United States or Canada in order to participate in this event. When you register on the Shadow Realm Games website, the address you list there is the shipping address that will be used for all prizing shipments after the event is concluded.

Q: How do I receive prizing for events held at the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Remote Duel Extravaganza?
A: All prizing, both participation and top finishing, will be shipped out to Duelists who participated, starting approximately on Tuesday, December 28th, 2020.
Prizing can only be shipped to an address in the United States or Canada.
Duelists who are local to the Indianapolis area may coordinate with the Tournament Organizer to pick up their prizing at Grandmaster Games via curbside pickup. Prizing will not be available for curbside pickup until approximately Tuesday, December 28th, 2020.

Q: How long will each Remote Duel Match last?
A: Each Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Remote Duel Match will be a best 2-out-of-3 Duel with a 50-minute time limit.
Each Yu-Gi-Oh! Speed Duel Remote Duel Match will be a best 2-out-of-3 Duel with a 40-minute time limit.
Each Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Remote Duel Match will be a best 3-out-of-5 Duel with a 45-minute time limit.

Q: What happens if I am not done with my Match after the time limit ends?
A: Sometimes a Match will not be finished when the time ends for a round. If this happens, it is both Duelists’ responsibility to note whose turn it is when time is called. Duelists who require assistance with the End of Match procedures should raise their hand and call for a judge. The judge should be notified that the Match is ongoing and whose turn it is. The judge may or may not stay to supervise the End of Match procedure but should ensure that both Duelists understand the following procedures.
End of Match procedures should follow these three (3) rules:
Rule #1: If time is called while Duelists are in the middle of a Game, the current Game must have a decision (Win, Loss, or Draw)
Rule #2: Once the current Game has concluded with a decision, determine the winner of the Match by determining the number of Game Wins (or Game Losses) each Duelist has for the current Match. The Duelist with the most Game Wins will win the Match.
Swiss Rounds: If both Duelists have the same number of Game Wins, or if time was called in between games of a Match when both Duelists had the same number of Game Wins, then the Match is a Draw.
Single-Elimination Rounds: If both Duelists have the same number of Game Wins, or if time is called in between Games of a Match while both Duelists have the same number of Game Wins, they will begin a new Duel with specific guidelines.
Rule #3: If a win condition occurs during End of Match Procedures, that Duelist wins the current Game.
Keeping these three (3) rules in mind, please follow these instructions when proceeding to End of Match procedures:
Q: Will I need to complete and turn in a Deck List?
A: Some events may require a Deck List to be submitted in order to participate. Please review the schedule above for a list of events that require Deck Lists.
For any event requiring a Deck list, you can create your deck list on the Tournament Organizer’s website here;

You will need to create an account on the website before you can submit a Deck List or register for any events.
You will be able to save multiple Deck Lists to your account.
When registering for any event requiring a Deck list, there will be a prompt in your registration form to add the name of the Deck List you wish to use for that event.
Once you have registered for an event and submitted the Deck List as part of the registration process, you are no longer allowed to make edits to your Deck List. The Deck List is copied and locked as part of registering for that event. Even if you update your Saved Deck Lists on the Shadow Realm Games website, it will not alter that Deck List for any event you have already registered for.
Make sure your name and CARD GAME ID are on your Deck List.
Make sure your Deck List exactly matches your Deck.

Q: Am I allowed to stream or record any of my Matches?
A: Duelists are not allowed to stream or record any of the Matches during this event.
Q: What are the rules for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Remote Duel Extravaganza Main Event on Sunday?
A: Have you enjoyed watching the livestreamed Remote Duel Invitationals? Would you like your chance to compete in one? Those who can top this event will move on to the next step in earning a spot in an upcoming Remote Duel Invitational.
Duelists can register for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Remote Duel Extravaganza Main Event on the Shadow Realm Games website starting at 9:00 PM PST on Saturday, December 19th, (12:00 AM EST on Sunday, December 20th). This event will use Remote Duel Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Advanced Constructed Format, and there will be a number of Swiss rounds based on attendance with no Top Cut.
This event is open to all Duelists, but any Duelists who win a constructed TCG event on Saturday (ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! or Win-A-Mat) will get FREE entry to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Remote Duel Extravaganza Main Event on Sunday. You will need to have a Deck List ready to confirm your Free Registration with Event Staff on Saturday, December 19th.
Duelists who register for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Remote Duel Extravaganza Main Event as a FREE entry will not receive the five (5) Booster Packs as commensurate prizing.
Event is capped at 256 Duelists (players with FREE entry will get priority registration).
If you did not win a TCG event on Saturday, any Duelist can still enter for $20.00 USD.

Q: What are the Remote Duel Invitationals?
A: Remote Duel Invitationals are special events in which Duelists are invited to take part in a livestreamed tournament for the entire Dueling world to see! In previous Invitationals, we watched World Championship competitors, YCS Champions and Content Creators battle it out – now it could be your turn.
Duelists who rank high enough in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Remote Duel Extravaganza Main Event (on Sunday) will be one step closer to participating in the next Remote Duel Invitational in 2021.
There will be more information to come on how to clinch one of the 16 spots in the next Remote Duel Invitational, so stay tuned!
What is a Single-Elimination Tournament?
A: Half of the tournament is eliminated after each round - the losing Duelist is out of the tournament, while the winner goes on to the next round. This continues until only one Duelist remains, who is then declared the winner.
Q: What are the Rules for Duel Links Remote Duel Tournaments?
A: This event allows you to bring your device and connect to others remotely for a Duel Links format, Single-Elimination event. Test your Deck builds in a Duel using the latest Duel Links Forbidden and Limited restrictions to compete for Duel Links Prize Pins (while supplies last)!
Between each Duel, you may use your Side Deck to alter your Deck for the next Duel.
In case of a disconnect, win/loss will be determined by the result given in-game. If the app crashes, or both Duelists disconnect simultaneously and a win is not decided, the Duelists will restart that Duel using the same Decks. Side Decking will not be allowed for that specific Duel.
Instructions on how the competitors can connect to the in-game Tournament Room will be provided once you are seated for the events.
Duelists will need to have the latest Duel Links app (v.5.2.1)installed on their device and reached Stage 4 or higher to participate in Tournaments.
Q: What is Speed Duel?
A: Speed Duel is a fast-paced way to play the physical card game. Following on the success of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Mobile app, Speed Duel allows players to bring that style of play to the table. Whether you are new to the game or a long-time fan, players will be able to enjoy this version of Yu-Gi-Oh! Speed Duel using fewer cards and a smaller playing field to enjoy quick matches that are focused on characters from the show and uses Skill Cards to represent those Character’s effects on their matches. Whether you are a fan of the show, the mobile app, or the physical card game; Speed Duel can be enjoyed by experienced players and those new to the hobby!

Q: Can I use OCG cards (cards printed for use in Japan and other Asian territories) in my Deck?
A: No, cards printed for Asian markets are not legal for play in TCG tournaments, even if you have a translation available.
Q: Can I use foreign language cards in my Deck?
A: You may use foreign-language copies of legal-for-play cards printed for the TCG market, as long as you can show an official translation of the card when asked to do so by an opponent or tournament official.

Q: I want to judge at the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Remote Duel Extravaganza instead of competing as a player – how can I participate?

Q: Can I get a CARD GAME ID number at the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Remote Duel Extravaganza or will I need to have one before I attempt to register to play at one of the tournaments?
A: If you previously had a COSSY ID, that same number will carry over as your CARD GAME ID. You will still need to register online at https://cardgame-network.konami.net/.
If you do not remember your previous 10-digit ID, you should email the Tournament Organizer at least five (5) days prior to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Remote Duel Extravaganza weekend to obtain your correct ID. Duelists should avoid acquiring new CARD GAME IDs if the previous ID can be found.
If you have never signed up for a CARD GAME ID number, you can get one by registering online at https://cardgame-network.konami.net/.
